Ebsta recently made a product change to allow the consolidation of the Ebsta functionality.
Prior to the release a user could:
Send Later OR
Send and Add to Salesforce
But they could not:
Send Later AND
Add to Salesforce at the same time
Last week’s release rolled out this functionality, as well as the ability for users to start campaigns later and add campaign emails to Salesforce – all using the familiar buttons our users know and love.
We made this change based on customer feedback that they needed the functionality consolidated in such a way.
However, after receiving feedback from users, we’ve realised that for some people, the changes created an additional step that disrupted the user’s workflow. Ebsta has always prided itself in being reactive to client requirements and therefore we have expedited a further release to address the requirements of all parties, which will be released Monday 8th May.
Users will now still be able to Send Later
AND Add to Salesforce at the same time, whilst also being able to quickly Send and Add an email to Salesforce as before.
For release on 8.5.17
How it Works
Regardless of the configuration of the email being sent, whether:
- Part of a campaign
- With tracking
- Scheduled to send later
- Adding to Salesforce
on clicking the ‘Send and Add to Salesforce’ button, the user will see action buttons.
Add on Send
This button will save the configuration of the objects you wish to save the record against, close the Add Email to Salesforce window, and allow you to carry on composing your email. At this point you can schedule the email, or add the recipient to a campaign – whenever the email sends, it will be recorded in Salesforce. Clicking the usual blue button in Gmail to send the email will then save and/or send the email – whether it’s Send Email/Send Later/Send with Campaign.
This button will save the configuration of the objects you wish to save the record against, close the Add Email to Salesforce window and the Compose Email window, and send and save the email. (If the email is scheduled to Send Later, the email will be added to Salesforce when the email is physically sent.)
We hope that this satisfies the requirements of all our users and apologise to those users adversely affected.
As always, we welcome your feedback in making Ebsta better and better.
