In 2015, we found ourselves playing the guessing game when it came to trying to understand Salesforce Usage. But unlike popular guessing game, Charades, we weren’t able to guess the answer to this two-worded conundrum in less than a minute. That’s when we decided to do something about it.
For our Salesforce Usage Report 2017, we surveyed over 1000 Salesforce Users this year to identify the key changes in comparison to the last and how the implementation of new 3rd party applications and freshly-released Salesforce features have fared amongst the Salesforce User-base.
2017 Salesforce Usage Report
In December 2016, we surveyed 1252 people with results based on a wide breadth of individuals from Salesforce Administrators to front-end Users so we could gather a diverse understanding of the usage of the CRM system.
It was important to us that we used this opportunity as a way of giving back to both the Salesforce community and to a community that relies on the generosity and help of people across the globe. For every response we received, we donated £1 to Great Ormond Street hospital so with 1252 responses, we were delighted to have given £1252 to the charity. We thank the people that completed our survey for their time and support.
We wanted to deep-dive into all the different layers of Salesforce usage and what we found surprised us.
The key takeaways from our report are:
- Data quality remains the ‘biggest Salesforce challenge’ for our respondents
- Companies with a full-time employed Salesforce Administrator are five times more likely to accurately forecast pipeline and close rates
- 86% of Admins surveyed that are using Trailhead expect to earn a higher salary in 2017
- 68% of Salespeople questioned thought more could be done in their organization to automate manual and repetitive process
